Mushrooms tikka

Mushroom tikka/Mushroom kebab - An easy and tasty recipe where the marinated mushroom is grilled using tandoor or oven. It can even be made in a tawa. I had made Paneer tikka and Hariyali paneer tikka and everyone had loved it. So I thought of making this mushroom tikka as it is healthy also. I have made it on direct fire to get the smoky taste.
 Ingredients
Mushroom - 15 to 20
Capsicum - 2 medium
Onion - 1 medium
For marination
Curds - 1 cup or 200 ml
Gram flour/ besan - 3 tbsp
Carrom seeds - 1 tbsp
Ginger garlic green chilli paste - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder - 2 tsp
Jeera/cumin powder - 1 tsp
Kasuri methi powder - 2 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt for taste
Lemon juice - 2 tsp
Method - preparation of vegetables
Wash the mushrooms. Trim the stalk. Wash the capsicum. Deseed it and cut into cubes. Cut the onion into quaters. Make it into layers.
Preparation of marinate
In a wide mouthed bowl, take the curds. Add the carrom seeds and ginger garlic green chilli paste. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder. Roast the gram flour till the raw smell of it goes. Add the oil and roast it again for a minute. Remove from heat and add this to the curds. Add the coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder. Add salt for taste. Dry roast the kasuri methi and add it. Also add the lemon juice. Mix well. The marinate is ready.
Add all the vegetables, cover it well and allow it to rest for half hour.
Making the mushroom tikka
Take the wooden skeewer and skeew the vegetables alternatively. I have used the iron skeewer. What i have done is oiled the vegetables and grilled it in direct fire like this
