Ingredients
Palak - 1 bunch (1 and half cup chopped)
Garlic - 6 to 8 cloves
Ginger - 1 inch
Onion - 1 medium finely chopped
Tej patta (bay leaf) - 1
Milk - 1/2 cup
Butter - 2 to 3 tbsp
Pepper - 3 tsp
Fresh cream - 1 tsp (optional)
Dried herbs - 1 tsp
Salt for taste
Method - Chop the pakak, after removing the stem. I didnt cook it before making puree. After cutting, put it in a blender and make puree. Make ginger garlic paste.
In a kadai, take some butter. Add the tej patta and ginger garlic paste. Saute till the raw smell goes. Add chopped onions and saute till translucent. Add the pureed palak.
Add the milk, pepper powder and salt for taste. Add about 1 cup of water. Let it boil. The raw smell of palak will go once it is boiled. Remove from heat, once it is boiled. Add fresh cream and dried herbs before serving.

1. In Many recipes i read, the palace is stayed before making puree. I feel the nutrition is lost in the process. The raw smell will not remain even in this method.
2. Adding cream is optional. I have not added.
