Pizza

Pizza - Here is a recipe for home made pizza without oven. I ve made the base myself. If you have the oven, you can just cook it in the oven. I have followed this recipe from #CoikingShooking. See the video by them also. For the pizza sauce - you can use store bought one or prepare at home.
Ingredients
For pizza base
All purpose flour (maida) - 2 cups
Dry yeast - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Salt for taste
Water - as needed
For pizza sauce
Tomato - 4
Garlic - 10 to 15 cloves
Onion - 1 cho0ed
Chilly flakes - 1 tsp
Oregano - 2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Salt for taste
Sugar - 1tsp
Tomato sauce - 2 tsp
Pizza topping and other ingredients
Onion - 1 thinly sliced
Capsicum - 1 deseeded and thinly sliced
(Other veggies like mushroom, sweet corn, baby corn or olives can be used)
Mozarella cheese
Cheddar cheese
Butter/oil
Method
Making the pizza base -
Take half cup of water and heat it to lukewarm. Add the dry yeast to it and add some sugar. This step is for activation of yeast. Mix it well and you can see it gets bubbled out. It is very important that the water should be only lukewarm. if it is too hot, the yeast will die.
Take the maida/all purpose flour in a bowl. Add 2 tsp of ghee and salt for taste. Add the activated yeast. Knead the mix well by adding water if needed. Kneading is the most important step in making the pizza base. So use the palm of your hands and knead well. Keep it in a air tight container to rest for half hour. The dough should rise after half hour or keep it for another half hour.
Making the pizza sauce
Cut the tomatoes into half. Remove the eye of the tomatoes. Take a thick bottomed pan with 2 tbsp of oil. Add garlic and onion. Let them saute till onion becomes golden brown. Add the tomatoes and salt allow them to coat with the oil. Close the pan and keep it in medium flame to boil for 5 minutes. When it boils, the skin can be removed if you want. There is no problem even if the skin is there. Wait till the tomatoes are fully cooked and becomes mushy. It also leaves oil in the side. Remove from heat and allow it to cool. Blend it little once it is cooled. Your pizza sauce is ready.
Making garlic flavoured oil
Take oregano in a small bowl. Add olive oil or any cooking oil. Add 3 or 4 cloves of finely chopped garlic. Add 2 tsp of butter and mix well. This will be used for greasing insted of normal oil or butter.
Preparing the cooker
Take a cooker. Put 2 cups of powdered salt in it and spread evenly. (Remember you can store this salt and use it every time for baking). Keep a stand or cup. Heat the cooker in medium flame and keep it covered. This works like preheating the oven.
Making the pizza.
Take the plate in which you plan to make the pizza. It should go inside the cooker. Grease it with garlic flavoured oil. Pat the dough in the plate like a thick roti. Again grease it with the garlic flavoured oil especially the sides. Make holes in this using fork. Keep this plate in the preheated cooker for about 15 to 20 minutes. The base is ready.
Now generously coat it with the pizza sauce including the sides. Grate mozarella cheese and cheddar cheese. Keep the topings of your choice. Keep it in the cooker again and heat it for another 10 minutes.
Remove from heat. Your pizza is ready.



The cooker should be covered, but don't use gasket or whistle.
Heating the base first,allows the veggies not to overheat. The crunchy element of pizza will be there.
The combination of mozarella cheese and cheddar cheese is the best tasting for pizza.
