Schezwan Paneer

Schezwan Paneer - This is a Indo Chinese recipe for spicy food lovers. It is semi gravy type and can be had with noodles or fried rice.
Ingredients
Paneer - 250 gms chopped into cubes
Capsicum - 1 medium sized cubed
Onion - 1 medium finely chopped
Garlic - 8 to 10 finely chopped
Ginger - 1/2 inch chopped
green chilli - 3 sliced
Schezwan sauce - 3 tbsp
Soya sauce - 2 tsp
Corn flour - 4 tbsp
Pepper powder - 2 tsp
Sugar -1 tsp (optional)
Oil - 2 tsp
Salt for taste
Method
Take the corn flour in a small bowl and mix it with about 4 tbsp of water. The resulting liquid should be without lumps. Corn mixture is ready.
Take a kadai with oil and add the chopped paneer. Shallow fry it till it is light brown. Keep it aside.Dont fry it longer or the paneer becomes hard.
Take oil in the same kadai and add garlic. Saute it for a minute and then add ginger. Stir fry it for a minute and add the chopped onions. Saute it till golden brown.
Add the capsicum and stir fry it. Let it cool for a while. Add the schezwan sauce, pepper powder and salt for taste. Add sugar if needed. Add some water and the corn mixture. Let the gravy thicken a little. Now add the shallow fried paneer and mix it well. Add the soya sauce and mix well. Let it boil for a minute. Remove it from heat and season it with chopped spring onion greens. Serve hot with noodles or fried rice.
