Idli upma

Idli upma - This is one of the tasty things you can make with leftover idli. I sometimes make it with fresh idli as well as my son likes this. It can be served as snack or breakfast. You can eat it just like that or sprinkle some sev or eat it with pickle.
Ingredients
Idli - 5 to 6
Onions - 1 medium sized finely chopped
Capsicum - 1 cut into cubes
Green chilli - 1 slit into half
Ginger - 1/2 inch grated or finely chopped
Curry leaves - 2 tsp finely chopped
Coriander leaves - 2 tsp finely chopped
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Chana dal - 2 tsp
Urad dal - 2 tsp
Salt for taste
Method
Crumble the idli into pieces. Take oil in a kadai and heat it. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Add chana dal and urad dal and roast them till they become golden brown. Add the chopped onions and roast it till it becomes translucent. Add the ginger and roast it for a minute. Add capsicum and sprinkle a little water. Let it cook for a while. Add 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder and mix well. Now add crumbled idli and salt for taste. Remove from heat and add curry leaves and coriander leaves. Mix well. Serve hot.
Remember that idli has salt. So add salt accordingly
