Aloo tikki

Aloo tikki
Boil and mash 3 to 4 medium sized potatoes. Add 1 tsp of chilli powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, garam masala powder. Add salt for taste and 2 tsp of lime juice. Add bread crumbs to make the tikki crispier. Mix well. Add about 3 tsp of corn starch or rice powder (for binding). Take a small portion of this. Make it into a ball and pay it into round patties in your palm. It should not be too thin. Coat the patties using powdered bread crumbs or corn starch. Shallow fry it in a pan. It should be golden brown.

Serve hot with green pudina chutney or tomato sauce or mayo sauce
1. All the spice powders are just to increase the flavour. Salt, chilli powder and garam masala is enough.
2. You can add boiled and mashed peas along with potatoes.
