Cabbage pakora

Cabbage pakora - An excellent snack for a rainy evening
When I was small my mom used to make onion pakoda many no of times. I tried cabbage pakoda in a similar manner and it was very tasty.
Ingredients
Cabbage - 1/2 of a medium sized think shredded
Onion - 1 medium finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Green chilli - 2 finely chopped
Besan/gram flour - 1 cup
Corn flour/ rice flour - 1/4 cup
Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Salt for taste

Method
In a large bowl mix chopped cabbage, onion and green chillies. Add salt, red chilli powder and ginger garlic paste.
Add the besan powder and corn flour or rice flour. Mix well by adding water little by little. The cabbage will leave water so be careful of the amount of water you add. The consistency should be thick itself.
Take a kadai with oil and heat it. When the oil is heated, add spoonful of the pakora mix. Add upto 6 to 8 individually. (Depending on the size of kadai). Fry the cabbage pakora in low to medium flame till it becomes golden brown and crispy. Drain the oil using paper towels.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup or mint chutney or chilli sauce.
This food decoration was done by my father in law
