Ragi rotti

Ragi rotti - This is a common breakfast in some Karnataka regions. It is served with coconut chutney.
Ragi flour - 1 and half cup
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Onion - 2  medium sized finely chopped
Green chilli - 2 finely chopped
Capsicum -1/2 finely chopped
Carrot -1/2 grated
Ginger - grated (optional)
Salt - for taste
Method
Take all the ingredients in a wide mouthed bowl. Add water and mix it well. The dough should be thick  (almost like chapati dough but little watery than that). Take a thin plastic sheet (cut milk cover is perfect for this), put a drop of oil. Take a ball of dough and spread it evenly on the plastic sheet (grease your fingers with oil). Heat the dosa tawa/ griddle. Gently drop the sheet on the tawa. Cook it on slow heat. Cook on both sides. Add butter or ghee while cooking. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
1. Ragi is very rich source of calcium. And since we are adding vegetables like carrot, it is a very good breakfast option for kids. (Also elders😀)
