Mix vegetables saagu

Mix vegetables saagu - A Karnataka style gravy recipe for chapati or poori.

Choice of vegetables (potatoes,peas,carrot,french beans, gobi)
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Cumin seeds - 3 tsp
Green chilli - 4 to 5
Salt -for taste

Method
First boil the vegetables in a pressure cooker or steamer. Grind the coconut, cumin seeds and green chilli using mixie. Take a wide mouthed kadai. Add oil and some mustard seeds. Let them splutter. (Add capsicum if you want and allow it to cook for a while. This is a optional step). Add the grounded mix and allow it to heat for a while. Add salt for taste and the boiled vegetables. Add water and bring it to a boil. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves Serve hot with chapati or poori or parota.
1. To make the gravy thicker add some besan powder or corn flour mixed with water and boil it
2. This saagu is without onion and garlic.
