Bread upma

Bread upma - This is a quick, easy to make upma using bread. You can serve it as breakfast or evening snack along with tea. You may also like similar quick breakfast recipe like

Ingredients
Bread (white or brown) - 5 to 6 slices
Onion - 1 medium finely chopped
Tomato - 1 medium cut into cubes
Capsicum - 1 cut into cubes (optional)
Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
Ginger - 1/2 inch julliened or grated
Salt for taste
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Chana dal - 1 tsp
Groundnut - 10 to 15
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves - 1 tsp fine chopped
Method
Slice the bread loaves into cubes. You need not cut the sides of bread.
In a kadai roast groundnut. Add oil and mustard seeds. Allow it to splutter. Add chana dal and urad dal and fry them till golden brown. Add onions and saute them till golden brown. Add tomatoes and saute it till it is completely mashed. The mix should be dry or the bread will be soggy.Add green chillies and ginger. Saute it till the raw smell goes. Add chopped capsicum and cook it (optional step). Add the chilli powder, salt and mix well. Add the chopped bread and mix everything. Saute it till the bread becomes crispy in the edges. Add lemon juice and mix. Serve hot as breakfast or a quick snack.
