Mushroom 65

Mushroom 65 - A crispy and tasty starter. This is a Indian styled recipe with no addition of sauces.
Ingredients (1 cup = 250 mg)
Mushrooms - 200 gms
All purpose flour - 1/4 cup
Rice flour - 4 to 5 tbsp
Corn flour - 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste -1 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Salt for taste
Oil for frying
Curry leaves a bunch - for tempering
Onions and coriander leaves - finely chopped 2 tsp (optional)
Method
Chop the mushroom into 4 pieces after rinsing them properly.
Take a mixing bowl with all purpose flour, corn flour and rice flour. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, pepper powder, cumin powder and turmeric powder. Also add ginger garlic paste and salt for taste. Add water slowly and make a thick batter.
Take a kadai with oil and heat it. The mushroom has to be added only just before frying as it leaves water. Dip the mushroom in the batter and deep fry it. Do not overcrowd the kadai. Once one side is golden brown, flip it over. Once both sides are fried, remove it from heat. Keep it in tissue paper to absorb the oil.
Once all the mushrooms are fried, fry the bunch of curry leaves.
Garnish the mushroom 65 with fried curry leaves, coriander leaves and chopped onions. (Coriander leaves and chopped onions are optional)
