Maavinakayi chutney


This is a very simple recipe. But I like the taste of this chutney very much. It is very good combination with dosa and idli. It can be eaten with rice as well.

Ingredients
Raw mango diced into small pieces - 1/2 cup
Coconut - grated 1/2 cup
Green Chilli - 2 to 3
Salt - for taste
For tempering
Coconut oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chana dal - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli - 1 cut into 2 to 3 pieces
Asofoetida - a pinch
Method
In a blender, take raw mango, coconut, green chillies and salt for taste and grind well. Don't add too much of water. Put it in a bowl.
Take a small kadai for tempering. Take oil and keep it for heating. Add mustard seeds and chana dal and allow them to splutter. Add red chilli, curry leaves and asofoetida. Remove from heat and add it to the bowl.
Serve with idli or dosa.
With rice, add a tsp of coconut oil and chutney and eat😀
